Verification of Competency (VOC) Forklift, MR, HR

Forklift drivers are required to have their forklift operating skills assessed on an annual basis and in some cases when renewing High Risk Work Licenses. Nationwide Training can conduct VoC assessments on Counter balance forklifts, reach forklifts, container handler forklifts and other Mechanical Handling Equipment.

Within one week I attended two courses at your premises - Forklift and Dangerous Goods. It was a bit of a brain overload, especially Dangerous Goods, a lot of content that I've never had to use before. I got through it with help from the trainers. If I'm going to do anymore training in my career, I will know where to go.

My trainer, listened to my needs. Then put things in place to help me learn to achieve my goals. My knowledge skills improved, 10x fold. Very easy to understand my instructor. He would interact with me the whole time I was there…Brilliant! I would highly recommend anyone to do a course at Nationwide Traning Centre, Osborne Park WA. Very approachable, friendly & Professional.

What is Verification of Competency?

A Verification of Competency (VOC) conducted by a qualified trainer & assessor is an industry recognised method of confirming an individual can safely operate plant and equipment.

Why do VOC?

Employers – The law requirements an employer or “Person Conducting Business or Undertaking” (PCBU) to ensure that their workforce, “as far as is reasonably practicable” have information, training, instruction or supervision to protect all persons from risks to their health and safety. A VOC can contribute to your workplace compliance.

Individuals – The law requirements a worker “take reasonable care” of your own health and safety and that your action or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of others. A VOC can demonstrate to a current/potential employer/PCBU that you are a competent and safe operator, that you are up to date with the latest industry standards and that break from using that piece of equipment has not demonstrate your competency.

Nationwide Training Can Conduct Verification of Competency (VOC) Assessments

For many types of Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) including Counterbalance Forklifts, Reach Forklifts, Combilift Forklifts, Container Handler Forklifts, Walkie Stackers, WAVE machines, Stock Pickers and more.
