Transport of Explosives

This course is suitable for commercial vehicle drivers who wish to transport explosives by road in Australia.

This course is endorsed by the Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) and is required to obtain an Explosive Drivers License issued in Western Australia.

COURSE DURATION AND FEES 

7:30am to 3:30pm (approx.) at Nationwide Training Osborne Park

1 day   Holders of a Dangerous Goods Licence   $260 GST free                                                     

2 day   Without Dangerous Goods Licence         $715 GST free

Onsite training is available anywhere in Western Australia contact our office for a quote.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS 

Learners:

Must be 21 years of age to apply for a DMP Explosives Drivers Licence
Must have a Dangerous Goods Bulk Drivers Licence
Must read the DMP Explosives Driver Licence General Information and Dangerous Goods and Explosives Licences Medical Certificate
Must wear fully enclosed shoes
Must be able to read, write and understand English
Must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) www.usi.gov.au

This classroom-based training is delivered face to face. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available.

Candidates must submit online application to the Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) Ph: (08) 9358 8001 For the application requirements, please refer to the Explosives Driver Licence General Information sheet on DMP website.

ON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION 

On successful completion of this course you will receive a Statement of Attainment issued by Nationwide Training:

TLID2016A Load and unload explosives and dangerous goods
TLID3015A Identify and label explosives and dangerous goods
